The 1st European Meeting on Algorithmic Challenges of Big Data (ACBD 2014) will be held in Warsaw, Poland, May 5-7, 2014. Participation is per invitation only.

The workshop will start on Monday 5th May at 10:45 with welcome coffee, and the  first talk will be scheduled to start 30 minutes later at 11:15. The workshop will conclude at 16:30 on Wednesday 7th May.


Tackling the challenges of big data is one of the most active research areas in computer science, both theoretical and practical. The goal of the workshop is to consolidate the European research community in this area, discuss recent advances, understand current trends, identify understudied areas, and formulate new directions for further investigation.

Additionally, this is the founding meeting of the Interest Group on Algorithmic Foundations of Information Technology. All participants of the workshop are cordially invited to join this group.
